Work Samples & Skills

Below are some samples of the work I created with Jean Marie's

Jean Marie's
Women's clothing boutique

Live Show Sets:

Jean Marie's broadcasted live fashion shows every night through Commentsold (An e-commerce platform the company used). It was my job to prepare the shows by entering the inventory into the computer via Commentsold and also to make sure all items had photos. After the programming was complete, I would set up the featured items for the camera. Without entering the inventory with photos and creating an aesthetically pleasing backdrop, customers wouldn't be as inclined to make purchases.

Instagram and Facebook Highlights, Reels, and Stories:

While I was helping out with Jean Marie's Instagram, we went from around 3,850 followers to 4,100.

One of my main duties as an intern was to upload "reels" onto Instagram off of the company's TikTok page. To do all of this posting, I used a website called SkedSocial where I could plan and schedule social media posts for both Instagram and Facebook.

I also created the highlight icons for Jean Marie's Instagram. They have since been changed to match the page's new fall theme. I used Canva, a graphic design website, to create the hot pink icons that were used on the page all summer.

Lastly, it was my job to post "stories" for Jean Marie's every day for hundreds of customers to view. The purpose of these stories were all different: some promoted live shows from previous days to increase sales, some promoted new arrivals, some raised awareness for discounts and deals, and some were just fun pictures of the staff.

The stories that promoted live shows helped increase sales by hundreds of dollars. While I was working at Jean Marie's, I set up and promoted a special 7 year anniversary live show that had 545 viewers, the second-most views in company history. This show also earned $6,461 for the company in less than 2 hours!

Photography and Website Uploads

All the jewelry you see pictured on the Jean Marie's website was photographed and uploaded by me.

Another one of my intern duties was to take professional photos of jewelry and other accessories so that the item could be put onto the official store website and be viewed by online shoppers. The first steps of this process are to take the photos with a Canon camera and edit them with Adobe Lightroom. Then I would â€‹upload them onto Shopify (an e-commerce platform) and sometimes I would write descriptions about the pieces for online shoppers to read. By doing this, I learned a lot about writing with the intent of making a sale.

I began my internship at Jean Marie's in May, 2022 and typically worked from 8:00 - 4:00, Monday - Friday. Half of the days I was on the sales floor and the other half I was doing marketing. Some of my main duties as an intern included preparing the companies live shows, creating and posting content to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and taking photos of new clothing items and posting them to the company website.
